“Form follows function” has always been an important principle in architecture and design. Meltem has a selection of different approaches where the visual and design aspects have to be balanced with the needs of ventilation technology. 

The Meltem portfolio offers a number of designs for outer wall terminals that have to be both visible and elegant. High-quality stainless steel pods are available with a stainless steel or white finish. Customised special colours can also be supplied. Outer wall terminals are also available as a plastic pipe kit in white or grey. For every project, the ventilation terminals can thus be custom-matched to the facade design and its specific requirements.

Where a continuous building facade uninterrupted by ventilation terminals is wanted, Meltem has developed a special window reveal solution that is practically invisible to a person standing in front of the building. For both comfort ventilation series (M-WRG-II and M-WRG), the reveal solution replaces the otherwise standard fresh air and exhaust air openings on the facade. The openings for the outdoor and exhaust air are located directly in the window reveal and are terminated simply by a discreet stainless steel faceplate. This ventilation solution is itself ideal for high-quality facade designs as again it is practically invisible.
